DBM is committed to complying with all applicable data protection laws in those countries where it does business. We assign ownership of our data privacy practices at both the local and U.S. corporate office level to provide open communication and dispute resolution to our customers, clients and employees. We abide by the "Safe Harbor" framework developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission. We will fully cooperate with the Federal Trade Commission or local data protection authorities when requested to do so.
CLIENTS: WHAT DBM COLLECTS ABOUT YOU
We collect information about our clients, such as name and contact details in order to best tailor and deliver our program services. Information is stored on secured servers, and is made available to you at any time, upon your request, for any corrections, edits, or deletions to the information.
Many of our clients are referred to DBM by a DBM customer - an employer or other sponsor organization that pays DBM for the services. In such cases, for purposes of invoicing and reporting to such organizations, DBM may share basic, non-personal information about your individual services (such as the fact that you engaged in the services, how often and that you completed your program or services). All such personal demographic information collected by DBM in the course of a client’s program is reported only in aggregate (i.e. without attributing it to you). We store and analyze this information to adapt program content and functionality to best serve your career development or transition needs, to gauge the needs and interests of future program participants, and to improve the quality of our ongoing services. We will offer our clients choices about receiving further communications from us, uses of information beyond the purposes for which it was provided, and the transfer of personal data to third parties. DBM obtains consent for the use and dissemination of any information deemed sensitive.
DBM may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on DBM or a DBM web-site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of DBM, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of DBM employees, users of DBM products or services, or members of the public.
